WASHINGTON – Tony Coelho, General Chairman of Gore 2000, announced that Lauren Choi
will join the campaign as the Director of Policy Coordination.
“Lauren’s experience and understanding of the Vice President’s policy goals
will be invaluable to Al Gore and to the campaign,” said Coelho. “She will play
a vital role in advising the Vice President on important policy issues. Lauren is a
talented individual and we look forward to working with her, to ensure Al Gore is the next
President of the United States.”
Choi currently serves as the Senior Adviser to the Under Secretary for Domestic Finance at
the United States Department of Treasury. Prior to that she worked for Senator Feinstein
of California as Counsel for the Judiciary Committee and worked for the U.S Department of
Justice in the Civil Division
Lauren Choi is a native of California and received her B.A. with honors from the
University of California at Berkeley. Choi attended Columbia University prior to law
school and received her Masters in International Finance and Banking. She
received her J.D. from the University of California, Hastings College of Law.
