FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Washington, DC - Al Gore today (4/18) received the endorsements of leaders across the state of Washington. Gore will be in Seattle, WA today to visit with local residents and talk about the importance of expanding prosperity and
maintaining America’s economic leadership.

“I am honored to have the support of these dedicated leaders from across the state of Washington,” Al Gore said. “They have worked diligently to strengthen the state’s economy, improve the livability of communities and
Washington public schools and work to revolutionize education. Together we
have worked to make Washington and America a place where our kids can live in a safe and healthy environment.”

"We all know that Al Gore is a guy you can depend on," Governor Gary Locke said. “The kind of person you want in your corner when you are fighting the good fight for a clean environment, quality education, good jobs, and safe communities. He understands and cares about making Washington a better place."

“Today, I will proudly stand in my home state of Washington to announce with great excitement, that I will do all I can in the next two years to make Al Gore the next President of The United States,” Senator Patty Murray said. “No person is better prepared, or more qualified, to assume the responsibilities of the Oval Office than our Vice President, Al Gore.”

“With his experience and his direct personal interest in the issues that matter to Washington and the Pacific Northwest,” Congressman Norm Dicks said, “we look forward to Al Gore’s campaign and to his leadership as the first president in the 21st century.”
